AJM Transport is a family owned and operated national transport and logistics company specialising in express linehaul freight with branches in Newcastle Brisbane and Melbourne. We operate a fleet of 110 prime movers and 350+ trailers, forklifts and company vehicles.
To support our growing team, we are seeking an additional Truck Wash Supervisor to join our truck wash facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with the existing supervisor and team to oversee the day-to-day operations of the wash bay. You will lead by example, assisting with truck washing as required while ensuring the facility operates efficiently and maintains the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
This role will entail but is not limited to:
- Overseeing and supporting wash bay operators.
- Leading from the front, assisting with truck washing while ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.
- Managing a small team of employees.
- Moving vehicles in and out of the wash bay area.
- Maintenance of the site to ensure that it is tidy, presentable and hazard free.
- Ordering of consumables.
- Ensuring safety standards are followed and maintained.
- Liasing daily with our customers and staff in a professional manner.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current HR, HC or MC licence (preferred).
- Experience in managing a small team.
- The ability to problem solve and take initiative.
- Proven time management, planning and organisational skills.
- A strong focus on doing the job safely and compliantly.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel knowledge (preferred but not essential).
