AJM Transport is a family owned and operated national transport and logistics company specialising in express linehaul freight with branches in Newcastle Brisbane and Melbourne. We operate a fleet of 90 prime movers and 250+ trailers, forklifts and company vehicles.
We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable and hands on Transport Yard Hand to join our team at our Brisbane depot, based in Rocklea.
The role:
- Tidying, preparing and setting up trailers ready for loading
- Working alongside the operations team to coordinate allocated trailers and trucks
- Assisting with local pickups and deliveries when required
- Keeping the yard safe, clean, organised and ready to go
- Helping keep the operation moving efficiently each day
- Flexibility as overtime may be required
Requirements:
- Forklift licence essential
- MC licence essential
- Experience driving road ranger essential
- Strong knowledge of load restraint and vehicle weights
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage manual handling tasks
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Understand and comply with Work, Health & Safety requirements
